I am a latecomer to the world of early childhood education. While I always wanted to work with children, life took me on a journey from High School through my own business and working with law firms. I finally went back and followed my heart, achieving my Diploma in Early Childhood Education in 1999. 

I am fascinated by children and how they are like blank pages waiting to be written on. I love listening to their laughter and watching their smiles as they play. It is amazing being able to be part of a child's learning and watching them progress through their developmental stages. I am a firm believer in helping children learn what they "can do" rather than being told what they can't do, and helping them find another way to think about things in a positive way.

When I am not at the centre I enjoy time with my grown-up step-daughters. I also love nature and the outdoors, and you will usually find me out on a walking trail along the Victorian coastline, or in a 4WD on a bush track.
